Nice tour. Al around Blocton and the surrounding area at the time was like Pgh of the south. I'm a Coke Battery worker in Pa and OH. Coal isn't cooked it is baked on the absence of O2. The chiminys are called stand pipes that gradually released all the pressure from the release byproducts into the atmosphere . The brick process sealing of the opening was also sealed with clay to stop O2 from entering. ( if O2 anters the baking process the coal burns to ashes) every other would be charged with Coal and every adjacent oven would be pulled and quenched. The heat from adjacent ovens would start the baking process of the next charged oven. Depending on the temperature 2340f would bake a charge of Coal in 24 hours. We have the ovens here around Pittsburgh Pa. These ovens are named Bee-Hive ovens. Thanks for the tour. Keep up the great work.

I don't know if I told your channel or if it was another one. I've been doing this for about 40 years what you're doing here I'm living in Southeastern Connecticut. About 30 years ago, I was digging in a stream and the first bottle I pulled out was Everett's shoe dressing, Boston Mass. The next bottle was Menards shoe liniment. That would be no big deal if my name wasn't Everett Menard. The odds of me falling out two bottles both with my name have to be one in millions and millions. Yeah I'll never forget that story. It was almost spooky .

I have a bottle that was blown in a wooden mold. Apparently whoever was doing the work taking the glass out of the molds took it out too early. His entire handprint is imprinted around the bottle. Its pretty crudelyade. Applied top. Amber.

I can remember the days back in the 70's and 80's when we'd go out for 5 to 6 hours and it was common to come home with 75 to 100 bullets (and other goodies)...if we had machines like these modern machines....OMG! Can't even begin to imagine what we could have found! I'm sure there are still some tiny virgin sites still available....if you know the right people! Congrats on your hunts, Brandon!

Before the Haters show up the Vortex shown is Prototype #4 and was running Version 1.5. This was filmed over a month ago. The chattery sound in the water was from it being an early version and pre update. 8 Updates later and the Vortex is getting better each week! Currently running version 1.58 and it’s a completely different machine than when this video was filmed!

I have owned an ace Apex since they first came out and have been happy with it. How would you compare the vortex to the apex after using them both?
